What do you think of when you hear the words "classic literature?" In the past I thought of boring books that I would never finish. Now I have children and want to be more of a mentor than a teacher. Reading classics is one way to show my children that I am still learning and it's fun. How about it? Are you up for a challenge? If so...then let's read.

I'm trying to get the hang of this blogging. I want to refer to an earlier comment posted about "What is a classic?". I wanted to say that I have read The Trumpet of The Swan, Charlotte's Web, The Giving Tree and most of The Little House on The Prairie Series. All of these were quite simple to read and not too long. And all have been read to my children. What's amazing to me is Anne of GG has been so much easier to read this time than my previous attempt some 15 yrs. ago. So maybe this usually addled brain that has a much slower recall is developing in a new way that helps me comprehend what once was difficult. Makes me feel as if there's hope for me yet.
